Executive Talent Associate, Palo Alto / Remote
 

Agroecology Capital, a high technology venture capital firm, has an immediate opening for an Associate-level role.


Agroecology Capital is a venture capital firm focused on agroecological Land and AgTech investments. The firm backs startups of all stages.
 

The Associate will be responsible for: (i) team and cross-functional operations; (ii) deal execution assistance for our portfolio companies including capital raising and strategic transactions; and (iii) market analysis.
 

The primary function of this role is to provide real and sustained value to: (i) immediate peers; and (ii) the Firm’s portfolio companies.

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Help us build out a Talent Network by engaging, assessing, career counseling; become the “go-to” person for advice and counsel to our network

  • For the Portfolio: Counsel on executive hiring processes to help build world-class management teams; accelerate time to hire and improve quality of hire through best practices and leveraging our network

  • Connect the firm with industry leaders and identify potential investment opportunities for the firm

 

Ideal Candidate Background
 

  • 3+ years of executive search (agency or internal) experience

  • A strong network of executive relationships in enterprise SaaS and infrastructure, AgTech, Agriculture sectors

  • Functional experience in recruiting for commercial disciplines including Chief Revenue Officers, Chief Marketing Officers and VPs of Business Development

  • Experience in assessment, recruitment, and team building, as well as compensation trends and benchmarking

  • Ability to influence and partner with CEOs and other executives

  • Experience in developing and cultivating relationships with executives, search firms and staffing organizations

  • Proven track record of managing a demanding workload, balancing multiple tasks and priorities, and switching gears seamlessly

  • Demonstrated ability to “put pen to paper” in producing industry content
